Free Webinar | Contract Worker Justice – Creating a Fairer SFU | July 13

SFU’s CERi and Labour Studies Program will be hosting a free webinar on July 13 to discuss the outsourcing of contract workers at SFU.  Please join to hear from frontline workers and community leaders, including CUPE BC president Karen Ranalletta, and learn about ways to support SFU contract workers in their campaign for justice.

Indigenous Canada is a free, 12-lesson online course from the UAlberta Faculty of Native Studies that explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada. From an Indigenous perspective, the course explores key issues facing Indigenous peoples today from a historical and critical perspective highlighting national and local Indigenous-settler relations. Online Petition | National Day of Mourning | Lost Children of Residential School

Click here to sign a petition calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to recognize a National Day of Mourning for the lost children of residential school and the 215 lost loved ones found by the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc community at the Kamloops Indian Residential School.  The petition also calls on Ministers Marc Miller and Carolyn Bennett to support the community in their healing, and care for the lost children of this genocide.
