2024 Election Nomination Process

As we near the start of the 2024 Election, it is important to note that the process to for nominations has changed. Nominations will only take place at the April 3rd General Meeting on Zoom. If you are interested in running for one of the below positions, and are unable to attend the April Meeting you need to notify the Elections Committee and Recording Secretary in advance of the April Meeting. Positions up for election:
Union Table Officers (2 Year Term)
1st Vice President
2nd Vice President
Recording Secretary
Executive Members (1 Year Term)
All Shop Stewards
Sergeant-at-Arms
One (1) Trustee – (3 Year Term)

Article 8 Section 5 – Nominations
1) Nominations shall be received at the regular membership meeting held in the month of April.
2) No nomination shall be accepted unless the member is in attendance at the April meeting or if absent, the nomination committee was provided with the member’s consent to stand via writing or via email to the Recording Secretary and copied to the Elections Committee prior to the April Meeting.
3) All Executive Board members and Trustees shall be elected by the membership.
4) No members shall be eligible for nomination if he/she is in arrears of dues and/or assessments.
