Keep in Mind
The Collective Agreement contains multiple provisions that pertain to health and safety: anti-harassment language, anti-discrimination language, the joint committee. Many of the OHS issues can be grieved, as well as dealt with by a complaint to WorkSafe. However, you should contact the Union first: we do not wish to create hostility in the workplace between the Employer and members that can be solved internally first. Wherever possible, we should be committed to working together to solve problems. We are, after all, Canadian.
